I buy them off the internet and then just photograph them :)

i know, that's what i was referring to. i'm actually looking into buying myself a bjd, though not necessarily a volks one. just looking for someone who knows what they're doing.

i'd ask questions, but i can understand if you get them a lot and don't feel like answering. if so, perhaps there is a place or person you can refer me to? i'd greatly appreciate any advice.
